Can’t Stop The Serenity

Can’t Stop The Serenity (CSTS) Pittsburgh returns on August 1 for its fourth year in the Steel City. CSTS is a global effort to raise money for the women’s rights charity Equality Now through screenings of Joss Whedon’s 2005 sci-fi western, Serenity.
In order to raise additional funds and foster community awareness and involvement, CSTS Pittsburgh would like to invite local artists to take part in decorating paper fans and parasols that will then be auctioned off at the event. Serenity is sci-fi with an Asian spin, but there’s no theme to the art – we’ll provide the fans or parasols, and leave the rest up to your imaginations and talent!
Interested artists can sign up at cstspittsburgh.webs.com. Please direct all questions to Cate, CSTS Pittsburgh organizer, at cstspittsburgh@gmail.com.
The CSTS Pittsburgh main event will be Saturday, August 1, at the Ross Community Center in Ross, PA. More information and ticket sales available at our website.
